Immigration 101: Forum on Immigration Detention

Event Description:

Students for a Democratic Society at UH is having a workshop on immigration detention centers in the US. The workshop will be 2 short films and a presentation. Free pizza and soda.

2 days:
Monday, February 23 from 4-5 pm at the UH university center (UC) Pacific room. The room is downstairs.

Thursday, February 26 from 2-3 pm same room as Monday.

The workshop is a chance for people to learn about immigration detention in the US and leads up to the SDS trip on March 7 to Taylor, TX to protest the Don T Hutto detention center there. Hutto hold only women and children and in deplorable conditions. We must put an end to these prisons for profit!
