Jeremy Scahill - Book Signing and KPFT Benefit

Event Description:

Jeremy Scahill will release a fully revised and updated paperback edition of his intriguing international bestseller, “Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army”, at a fundraiser for KPFT, 90.1 FM in Houston, on Wednesday, June 25, 2008.

The main event starts at 7 pm and will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in the Fondren Hall on the 2nd floor of the Jones Building , 5501 Main St., Houston, TX.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 for students with ID. You can buy tickets on-line at Brown Paper Tickets (a service charge will apply) or call 713-526-4000 during weekday office hours, 10 am - 5 pm.

Blackwater books will be on sale when the doors open at 6 pm. Scahill will begin speaking at 7 pm, and book signing will take place immediately after the presentation.

There'll also be a Meet & Greet with Jeremy Scahill at the Station Museum, 1502 Alabama at La Branch, from 5:00 - 6:15 PM. Admission is $150 per person/$250 per couple and includes one signed book per individual, refreshments, admission to the main event at St. Paul's and a chance to talk personally with Mr. Scahill.
