Last year, as many as 2000 people came to the Community GreenFest. This event captured all of Houston's wonderful diversity with people attending from all over the city.

The event will feature music from all over the world, spoken word, dance and drumming as well as workshops and speakers including, Colin Beavan, the No Impact Man, Meriwether the Adventurer (a wild edibles expert from Houston) and one of our partners, Dan Phillips, recently named the number one recycler in American by Reader's Digest Magazine.

The Last Organic Outpost's founder, Joe Icet will be speaking about The Food Everywhere Movement focusing on Neighborhood Food Security.

We will have a variety of local community vendors and activities for children, as well as information about upcoming events events in the 5th Ward and 3rd Ward. The Last Organic Outpost will host our weekly "Farming Market" with food picked from the 2.5 acre farm where the event is held.

Last Concert Cafe, Staci Davis of Radical Eats, Michael Woodson of KPFT's Living Art (The burger and dawg guy at the fest) and Kelvin Williams (AKA, the snowcone man) are lined up for food so far with more to come!
