Does your high school administer the Armed
Services Vocational Aptitute Battery (ASVAB) test?

Student TestThe ASVAB is the most widely used aptitude
test in the world. Through a cooperative program between the Department of
Defense and the Department of Education, the ASVAB is administered to
students in over half of the high schools in the
country.

Generally, the ASVAB test is marketed to school
administrators, guidance counselors, and School Boards as a tool to
prepare students for the SAT/ACT and to assist them in making career and
educational determinations that fit their aptitude and interests.


But nothing could be farther from the
truth!


In reality, the ASVAB is
an admissions and placement test developed by the US military for the
purpose of determining if potential recruits are qualified for military
service and for which military jobs they are best suited.

The
reason the Department of Defense and the Department of Education provide
the ASVAB to our schools at no-cost is to generate pre-qualified leads for
military recruiters.

That
