Resolutions to promote our issues; why they're important now

Yes. As we get the resolutions revised and new ones written, I'd like to have an easy-to-find web page (probably the one you mentioned) with pdf's (only) of each resolution, and move the html ones to a more difficult-to-find place. This is to discourage everyone from editing their own version of the resolutions after we get them finalized. Multiple versions causes much confusion when you get to the SD and state conventions.

Yes, these sound good. We also need to be thinking more about issues that we need to ask County candidates about (in addition to the verified voting/paper audit trail that you mentioned) and that we need to ask state candidates about (income tax vs. property tax, funding for education/CHIPS/MHMR/Medicaid, etc.) and write resolutions on those. There won't be another national convention until 2008, so we should emphasize state issues next year.

I think the resolutions are the heart and soul of our movement and the only hope of the Dem. party, and I hope we can get the Dems (both delegates at the conventions, and candidates) to adopt more of them next year and run with them. And I think we can do it -- we had great success at the state level. It was only when we got to the national platform committee, that was controlled by Kerry minions, where they didn't care what the people cared about.
