This is a fantastic bit of news, which we need to take full advantage of by
writing letters to the Chronicle and every other newspaper we can find. It
provides an excellent peg to hang a letter on regarding impeachment. I
would do it myself but had one printed recently and am not eligible again for
another month or so.

It could be quite short and sweet, something like the sample below. Please
don't copy that one verbatim but use your own wording (or it would be fine if
someone wants to just submit that one, but please be sure to check with me
beforehand so we don't have more than one person submitting identical
letters).

Sample:

According to a poll conducted by Zogby International from October
29 through November 2, 53% agreed that if President Bush did not tell the
truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider
holding him accountable through impeachment.

Now according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll from
November 4 - 7,  it was found that 57% of Americans believe Bush
deliberately misled people to make the case for war.

It therefore seems clear that a majority of the American people
now believe that Bush should be impeached. This shows more support for
impeaching Bush now than there ever was for impeaching Clinton when Congress did
so in 1998, but for some reason we see no mention of the "i" word in the mainstream media.

When will the Chronicle start reporting on this huge
elephant sitting there in the middle of the living room?
