Chronicle article on Centerpoint gas bills
Yesterday, one of our messages on one of my elists had an article from the Houston Chronicle about
Centerpoint Energy's gas bills going through the roof and customers raising hell about it.
Unfortunately, I deleted the article - should have printed it.
Opened my gas bill last night & it's 230% higher than normal. I'm determined to join the
hell-raisers. My normal gas bill is about $40 to $45 and this one is over $100 - I don't freakin
think so! I just KNOW the cats aren't taking hot showers, doing laundry or sanitizing the kitchen
while I'm at work.
Does anyone still have that article handy - I'd like to check it again for any pertinent details.
Calling Centerpoint this morning, all I get is a recording saying
"We're experiencing an unusually large volume of calls. Please try your call again later."
Duuhhhh.....!

This is ridiculous. I remember reading it, and thinking "the management at my apartment
will surely pass it on". I still have the paper for the past 3 days and I simply cannot
find the article. Sometimes they post things online that fail to get into print, but I
can't find it in their website either.
